1. ORDER AND PAY PROCESS
The complete order and payment process at De Hardloopwinkel Webshop in 4 simple steps.
Step 1: Shopping Cart
- When desired items are in shopping cart.
Then click the green button: 'Naar Gegevens' (to data).
Note: Items in the shopping cart are not reserved for you until you click the 'NU KOPEN' (buy now) button in the final step.
Step 2: Details and Delivery Method
Here you can choose from the following options, such as whether you want to create an account.
The options are:
1. log in (if you already have an account),
2. create an account,
3.order without creating an account.
If you log in, your saved details will appear (name, address, etc.). If you want to order without an account, we will first ask you to fill in the required information.
Choose from the following delivery options:
- Home delivery with PostNL (free for orders over 50 euros, otherwise €4,95).
- Pickup at a PostNL collection point (free for orders over 50 euros, otherwise €4,95).
- Pickup at De Hardloopwinkel Bodegraven, Noordwijkerhout, The Hague, Leiden or Rotterdam (free for orders over 50 euros, otherwise €4,95).
- FREE pickup at De Hardloopwinkel Webshop warehouse in Moordrecht (ZH)[link].
Then click the green button: 'Naar Betaalwijze'(to payment method).
Step 3: Payment Method
Choose how you want to pay. Here you can also redeem a gift card (kadobon) or promotional code (actiecode) as a final option.
Then click the green button: to confirm order(naar bestelling bevestigen).
Step 4: Confirm Order
In this final step, you can calmly review or change your order.
Click the green button 'buy now' (nu kopen) to finalize your order and place the order.
Now you proceed to payment.
Advance Payment (vooruit betalen)
If you chose 'vooraf betalen'(payment in advance), iDEAL, Credit Card, Visa, Bank Transfer, or MisterCash, you will now be directed to the corresponding payment page of MultisafePay.
Pay Later(achteraf betalen)
If you chose 'pay later' by Riverty, you will receive an invoice via email after 8 days.
You will receive an order confirmation via the email you provided (tip: also check your spam box).

Pay directly with Multisafepay
If you choose iDEAL, Visa, Mastercard, Mister Cash, Prepayment, Fashioncheque, or a VVV gift card, the payment will be processed through MultiSafepay.
You might see this name on your bank statement.

Post-Payment Options for NL & BE
If you choose to pay afterward, the payment will be processed through Riverty (formerly AfterPay).
Riverty handles the entire post-payment process for De Hardloopwinkel Webshop. This means you will receive a digital invoice from Riverty via email. You pay the amount of this invoice to Riverty after receiving the purchased items.
PLEASE NOTE! You have 14 days to pay the invoice, starting from the moment of ordering! Do not wait until your return is processed, as you risk incurring extra charges!

Riverty: The New AfterPay for Post-Payment
Riverty manages the entire post-payment process for De Hardloopwinkel Webshop for customers in the Netherlands and Belgium.
You will receive an invoice from Riverty, which you must pay directly to Riverty.
To check your creditworthiness, Riverty will perform a data check before approving the payment. Riverty adheres to a strict privacy policy as described in their privacy statement.
Riverty Not Successful?
If your request to pay with Riverty is not authorized, you can choose another payment method. If you encounter any issues, please contact De Hardloopwinkel Webshop customer service by phone or email.

How Acceptgiro via Riverty Works:
1. Order a Product: You place an order in our webshop.
2. Choose Payment Method: Select Acceptgiro via Riverty as your payment method.
3. Data Check: Riverty will check your information to verify the payment.
4. Confirm Your Order: Confirm your order.
5. Approval: Approved by Riverty? Payment is successful!
6. Receive E-Acceptgiro: After 8 days, you will receive an e-acceptgiro from Riverty.
7. Make the Payment: Pay the e-acceptgiro within 14 days to Riverty.
8. Alternative Payment: If payment is not approved, choose another payment method.
9. Order Confirmation: You will always receive an order confirmation via email.
Bank Transfer
Payment via bank transfer is processed through MultiSafePay.
If you choose bank transfer in advance, you will automatically receive an email with the transfer details. The transfers are handled by MultiSafePay.
Credit Card (VISA or Mastercard)
Payment via credit card is processed through MultiSafepay. You can pay the amount owed online using your credit card.
Please Note! MultiSafepay implements 3D Secure verification for Credit Cards:
A 3D Secure payment is an online payment with additional security. The bank verifies whether it is indeed the customer making the payment.
Each bank has its own way of verifying this, such as two-factor authentication, a password, fingerprint, or scanning an ID tag.
Your credit card payment is processed immediately and reported to De Hardloopwinkel Webshop.
Mister Cash
Online payments from Belgium using Mister Cash are processed through MultiSafepay.

Payment with Fashioncheque (up to max. €50)
- Choose Fashioncheque (max. €50) as your payment method when checking out.
- Enter the card number during checkout.
- Fashioncheque performs a validity check.
- The amount will be deducted from your Fashioncheque.
- Choose another payment method for the remaining amount if necessary.
Payment with VVV Gift Card (up to max. €50)
- Choose VVV (max. €50) as your payment method when checking out.
- After placing your order, proceed to checkout.
- Enter the card number during checkout.
- VVV performs a validity check.
- The amount will be deducted from your VVV Gift Card.
- Choose another payment method for the remaining amount if necessary.
Paying in stores can be done with:
1. Cash
2. Debit card (Maestro)
3. Mastercard, AMEX, Visa card (not available in Bodegraven)
4. De Hardloopwinkel store gift voucher
5. VVV Gift Card
6. Fashioncheque
Conditions:
- The value of the Fashioncheque must be spent in one go at De Hardloopwinkel.
- Stores do not accept VVV Gift Vouchers, only the VVV Gift Card.
- The full value of the VVV Gift Card can be spent in parts.
- Store purchases can be exchanged within 14 days with a valid proof of purchase, including attached label, in new condition, and in the original packaging.
- Discounted items cannot be exchanged in stores.
- Stores do not give cash refunds, but issue store credit.
- To claim warranty in stores, a valid proof of purchase must always be presented.

Home Delivery NL+BE with PostNL
Home delivery in the Netherlands and Belgium is FREE for orders over €50 in the webshop.
Delivery NL/BE €4,95
If you spend less than €50 at De Hardloopwinkel Webshop, delivery costs €4,95.
Delivery DE €7.50
Home delivery in Germany always costs €7.50.
Delivery EU
Home delivery in Europe is available upon request. Please contact customer service for this.
PostNL Track&Trace Code
We'll send a shipping confirmation including a PostNL Track&Trace code once the package has left our warehouse.
Not at Home?
The package will be delivered only once. If you're not at home, you can pick up the package at the nearest PostNL pickup location within 1 week. After that, it will be returned to De Hardloopwinkel Webshop's warehouse (shipping costs will be charged).

Pickup at a PostNL location is FREE for orders over €50 in the webshop.
PostNL Pickup Location Shipping Costs
Picking up at a PostNL location costs €4,95 if you spend less than €50 in the webshop.
Pickup Notification
You'll receive a pickup notification when your order is ready at the PostNL/PostBE pickup location.
Forgot to Pick Up?
The package will remain at the pickup location for a maximum of 1 week. After that, it will be returned to De Hardloopwinkel Webshop's warehouse.
Pickup at De Hardloopwinkel Webshop Warehouse in Moordrecht
Pickup of your online order at the De Hardloopwinkel Webshop pickup point at Gouwepark in Moordrecht/Gouda is always free and can be done within an hour!
If you choose pickup in Moordrecht and your order is under €50, a €4,95 discount will be deducted from your order in 'Stap 5'.
Pickup Notification
You'll be notified once your order is ready for pickup at Gouwepark (alongside the A12). Pickup is available on weekdays between 9:00-17:00 immediately after placing your order.

Pickup at 1 of the 5 De Hardloopwinkel branches in the Netherlands is FREE for orders over €50 in the webshop.
In-Store Pickup and Shipping Costs
Pickup at 1 of the 5 De Hardloopwinkel branches costs €4,95 if you spend less than €50 in the webshop.
Track and Trace, Package Tracking
You can track your order via the previously emailed PostNL Track and Trace code to see when your order has been delivered to the store.
View Order Status?
If you've created an account, you can track your order from start to finish. Without an account, you can only see where your package is during PostNL delivery.
In Progress (in behandeling)
If the order status is 'in progress' (in behandeling), we are still busy processing your order.
Shipped (verzonden)
When your order is packed in our warehouse, it will be handed over to PostNL or prepared for pickup. In that case, the status changes to 'shipped' (verzonden) with the shipping date behind it.
Track&Trace Code
You'll receive an email with the PostNL Track&Trace code. With this link, you can see where your package is and when it will be delivered. Or you'll receive an email that you can pick up the package at a nearby PostNL pickup location.
Delivery by PostNL
De Hardloopwinkel collaborates with PostNL to deliver your order to your home. The most reliable parcel delivery service in the Netherlands and to our full satisfaction for 15 years! PostNL delivers from Monday to Saturday.
Delivered Once
The package will be delivered to you only once.
Not at Home?
If you're not at home, you can pick up the package at the nearest PostNL pickup location within 1 week. After that, it will be returned to De Hardloopwinkel Webshop's warehouse (shipping costs will be charged).
Exceptional Cases
In exceptional cases, we may choose to deviate from the above procedure. You will be informed about this.

Delivery Time 1-5 working days
If the size you desire has the status 'delivery time 1-5 working days', you can expect delivery within 3-5 working days. If this is not possible (for example, if an item is unexpectedly out of stock), we will contact you as soon as possible.

Pay for return shipping?
Returning to our reply number is easy and simple. Just print the reply number here and paste it on the box.
You can return this box free of charge to a PostNL point where you will receive a receipt with a track&trace code.
For processing the return shipment, we charge €2,95 on the refund amount. So you will receive the total order amount minus €2,95 return costs.

How does easy returns work from NL and BE?
For each return, €2,95 handling fee will be charged.
You can easily return items via a POST.NL or POST.BE point with our response number within the legal period of 30 days.
You can try on and examine an item thoroughly, but make sure it remains truly new!
What steps to follow?
1. Mark the item you're returning. You'll find the return form in the box or print it here and list the items being returned [link].
2. Pack your return properly. Package the items in the original packaging (with tags and stickers) in the orange outer box or shipping bag. This helps the environment and us process your return faster.
Received a free item and didn't return it? It may be deducted from the refunded amount.
3. Return label. From the Netherlands: print the return label. Or clearly write the following address on the box:

From Belgium: use the provided return sticker in the box or request a return label via webshop@dehardloopwinkel.nl.
4. Hand over your return. Hand over your return to the POST.NL or POST.BE delivery person (first register: read more) or drop it at a PostNL collection point or a PostBE collection pint. Always keep your shipping receipt with the Track & Trace code.
You can also drop off your online return at one of the 5 Hardloopwinkel stores.
Processing and refunds are done exclusively by the Customer Service of the Webshop after submission in the store.
5. Get your money back. Upon receipt of your return, you will receive your money back as soon as possible within 48 hours (minus €2,95 handling fee) via the payment method chosen by you when ordering.

Returning online purchases can easily be done via a PostNL or BE point or the delivery person (read more) within the statutory period of 30 days. You may try on and inspect an item.
A handling fee of €2,95 will be charged for each return shipment.

Statutory return period
Notify us within 30 calendar days (period starts one day after receiving the order).
Complete and unused
The item must be complete, if possible, in its original factory packaging and unused (do not remove labels).
If the items show visible signs of use, charges will apply, with a minimum of 50% of the purchase value.
Original box
Place the items (shoes in original box) in the provided outer box.
Return form
The return must include a return form. Make a copy of the invoice if you want to keep it for your own records.
Easy returns
Returning items is simple and easy if the correct reply number is indicated on the box. Print the reply number and paste or write it on the box.

Return shipping at buyer's risk
Dehardloopwinkel.nl is not liable for any damage or loss of returned items.
Free item
If you wish to keep it, it will potentially be offset with the return credit. (see terms for free item)
Payment obligation
If you return an item outside the above conditions or without a return form, the payment obligation remains.
Return conditions outside NL/BE:
- Returns cannot be made to our reply number outside NL and BE.
- The direct costs of returning are at your own expense.
- Ship to: Koja Sports, attn. De Hardloopwinkel Webshop, Noordbaan 802, 2841MG, Moordrecht, Netherlands.
Money back
For returning your order, a handling fee of €2,95 will be deducted from the total (including incurred shipping costs) refundable amount. The remaining amount will be refunded and/or credited as soon as possible, within 14 days at the latest.
Items worn outside and/or used?
If the returned items show signs of use, we will charge a minimum of 50% of the purchase value against the refunded amount.
Attention! Worn shoes incur costs
If you wear your running shoes outside (regardless of duration or time), you are liable for 50% depreciation of the shoes. You will receive a notification from customer service regarding this.
Items defective upon or after delivery?
If you have received a damaged item or if it becomes defective, we refer you to our Warranty Service.
Revoking an article?
You have the right to revoke the sales contract (the order) within a cooling-off period of 14 calendar days without giving any reason.
The items must be unused, in original condition, and in the original packaging.
Use of the withdrawal form is not mandatory
To exercise the right of withdrawal, send an email or give us a call to customer service. You can also use the Withdrawal Form, though it's not mandatory.
Consequences of withdrawal
- You return the items within 30 days
- Upon receipt of the products, we will refund the total purchase amount minus €2,95 return costs.
Always include the return form (included in the box) filled out. This allows us to process your return faster.
Returning free items
If you only return a part of your order, you may incur charges for a free accompanying item.
I return the free item along with the rest of the order.
If you return the free item along with all other products from your order, no offsetting will occur.
I only return the free item
Then nothing will be refunded or offset.
I want to keep the free item?
If you return the rest but want to keep the free item, the value of the free item will be deducted from the refunded amount.

EXCHANGE
Return your order following the above steps and entirely for free via Antwoornummer 15012, 2810 VH Moordrecht. Upon receipt, you'll receive a notification from us and your money back minus €2,95 handling fee will be promptly refunded.
Place a new order yourself as soon as possible for the other size, color, or item on dehardloopwinkel.nl. If you do this before 8:00 PM on the same day, you'll receive it tomorrow! (subject to availability and on business days only)

Return conditions for Stores
The Hardloopwinkelgroup also operates 5 physical stores for runners in the Netherlands. Different return and exchange conditions apply here than in the Webshop!
Exchange/Return of PURCHASES made in a store:
Exchanging at a store is possible within 30 days, with the original proof of purchase.
Conditions for returning and exchanging in a store:
Within a maximum of 30 days after purchase, it is possible to return an item or exchange it for another item.
The returned items will only be accepted in the stores if they are undamaged, unused, and preferably in the original packaging/box with attached price tag + original proof of purchase.
No cash refunds will be given.
You can exchange for another item or receive a store credit worth the returned item.
A store credit is valid indefinitely in all our stores.
Complaint about an item purchased in a store:
If you have a complaint about an item purchased in a store, you must return to the store where the purchase was made with the item and proof of purchase.
The store employee will then assess the complaint within a certain period and inform you of the resolution.
Gift card purchased in-store:
This is only redeemable in-store and will not be accepted online.

Warranty with your purchase, how does it work?
Statutory warranty
All items you purchase from De Hardloopwinkel have statutory warranty. The law states that a product must be 'fit for purpose'.

Attention! This statutory warranty does not apply to free items received or products replaced due to a previous warranty/complaint.
What is a good or fit for purpose product?
A good product should be able to be used without problems for a certain period of time. Of course, the lifespan of a pair of running shoes is different from that of, for example, a sofa.
Second chance products have the same warranty as new products.
Item purchased in one of the stores?
For warranty on products purchased in-store, you need to return to one of the 5 De Hardloopwinkels in the Netherlands within three months with the relevant product.
Go to De Hardloopwinkel store where you purchased the item and bring the purchase receipt. The store employee will handle the warranty with you there.
Item purchased in the Webshop?
If an item purchased online is defective upon receipt, we kindly request you to:
- Send an email to our customer service one day after receipt, but no later than 14 days after receipt: webshop@dehardloopwinkel.nl.[link] Include your name, order number, item, and description of the defect.
- Upon notification from customer service, you can return the defective item to our return address within the Netherlands, free of charge, along with a description of the complaint and (copy of invoice).
Item defective after some time?
If an item purchased online becomes defective beyond your fault or turns out to be defective while you have owned it for longer than 14 calendar days (starting one day after receipt), we will gladly assist you as soon as possible.
- Send an email to our customer service: webshop@dehardloopwinkel.nl Include your name, order number, item, and description of the complaint.
- Upon our response, you can return the defective item within the Netherlands, free of charge, along with a description of the complaint and (copy of invoice). If your complaint is justified and depending on the item, we will always provide an appropriate solution: replacement, repair, or (partial) refund.
When is my complaint not justified?
If it is caused by:
- intentional damage, negligence, or failure to follow the washing instructions;
- improper use, incorrect fit (too small or large), or negligent maintenance;
- normal wear and tear or damage due to failure to follow the instructions for use;
What are the warranty conditions?
For functional running clothing:
- Follow the washing instructions.
- Use a small amount of liquid detergent only.
- Do not use bottle belts/straps (to prevent pilling of clothing).
For running shoes:
- Only used for running.
- No other sports such as walking or tennis.
- Do not put them in the washing machine.
How can I easily return items within the Netherlands?

Can I easily return items from Germany?
If you are returning an item from abroad, unfortunately, this cannot be done using our reply number. You must send the package with sufficient postage to: Koja Sports, attn. De Hardloopwinkel Webshop, Noordbaan 802, 2841MG, Moordrecht. If your complaint is justified, we will reimburse the postage costs.
Returns are at the risk of the buyer. This means that De Hardloopwinkel Webshop is not liable for any damage or loss of returned items. Therefore, always ask for a 3S number at the post office and keep it safe.

6. Shoe Size Advice for Running Shoes
Running shoes run small!
Purchase running shoes at least 1 size larger than normal. This is important because running shoes run small, and your feet slide when running. You should leave space at the front around the toes.
Hiking boots also run slightly smaller, so you should purchase these (also at least) 1 size larger than your normal foot size. You should leave space at the front around the toes.
But how do I measure my size?
- Stand on an A4 sheet of paper with both bare feet.
- Mark a line at both big toes and both heels.
- Measure the distances on the A4 sheet with a ruler and choose the longest distance.
- Add 1.5 centimeters to this (1cm for hiking boots).
- Refer to the size chart below to find the corresponding centimeter size for the brand.
- If you are between 2 sizes, always choose the LARGER centimeter size.
- The chart will display the correct US size for each brand.
- Congratulations, you have now successfully determined the correct size!
